Paradise is located in the center of eastern Lancaster County. It has the towns of Strasburg to the southwest, Quarryville to the south, Christiana and Parkesburg to the southeast, and Lecock-Leola-Bareville to the north. It is a small town with a population of about 1,129. The median household income jumped from $41,875 to $65,446 over the last decade and the median value of houses increased with it going from $109,200 to $185,380. The cost of living in Paradise is slightly less than the US average which when coupled with the increased value of the property is good news for any prospective home buyers.
Paradise covers a land area of 1.13 square miles which leaves the population density quite low for those looking to buy a house with a calmer, more private environment. Eshleman Run is the name of the creek that runs through the Paradise Community Park and also wraps the northern and eastern border of the town. Paradise is part of the Pequea Valley school district and is home to the Paradise Elementary School and has many private elementary/middle schools available to choose from.
