Christiana is located in the center of Lancaster County’s eastern border. It has the towns of Strasburg and Quarryville to the west, and Parkesburg and Atglen to the immediate east. It is a small town with a population of about 1,171. The median household income is approximately $52,607 and the median value of houses and condos in Christiana have increased over $70,000 in the last decade; increasing from $105,500 to $178,889.
Christiana covers a land area of 0.53 square miles which for a predominately urban area leaves the population density quite low for those looking to buy a house with a calmer, urban environment. The Moorees Memorial Library makes its home in the area and the Parkesburg Amtrak station is only four miles away. Christiana is part of the Octorara School District but uses the Bart-Colerain Elementary School, which is part of the Solanco School District.
